Who is UAYA

I was born in Bohol, spent some years in Gen.Santos City, then Cebu City, then Manila. I started working abroad from 1995 up to present, in Kuwait. I was raised in a Roman Catholic family. I was an active "sacristan (altar boy)" at church. I had a brief experienced being a "seminarista" at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Tagbilaran City, aiming for priesthood.

Me & my mother converted to Jehovah's Witnesses in 1986 and I bacame a zealous Regular Pioneer in our Bilar congregation, doing a missionary work in the service of Jehovah. Years later I was disfellowshiped from the organization for the ground of "interfaith" on my desire for religious tolerance and understanding among all faiths.

Then I embraced the life of a 'free-thinker' and studied the writings of Anton LaVey, and I started teaching LaVeyan doctrines.

Few years later I went back to the "right" path and started studying Buddhism & Hinduism & other oriental religions. I joined the Rosicrucian Order, an ancient Mystic Fraternity. I became a wandering theosophist, (Bilar Bohol Lodge) and an active member up to present.

Then I embraced Islam in 2002. I didn't understand why, but I believe that destiny has brought me here. Now I am an active preacher (Da'iyah) working for Islam Presentation Committee, Kuwait. I teach comparative religion and basic fundamentals in Islam at Kuwait Philippine Cultural Center, and the present editor of its monthly magazine Pag-usapan Po Natin!
